Why I Switched From Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 To Muvee Reveal X
This week I was working to create and edit a video of our 2011 – 2012 student council candidates. I had all the videos and had a great plan for editing the video with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I put the project together in Premiere and let it run to produce the video. After all that work and time the video would not play. I updated all my drivers and produced the video again. The second day the video would play but the audio and video were out of synch. After checking online it appears this is a serious problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.
I only had one day to get the video complete after many failed attempts using Premiere. Then I had the idea to use Muvee Reveal to create the movie. The only problem was that I would have to create the title slides in a graphics program. So I decided that I would start the video at school using the trial version and then I could finish it at home with my Full version of Muvee Reveal. I was really impressed with the new features available in Muvee Reveal X.

I was able to add the titles in-between each office easily. I was able to quickly add all the videos, add captions to each video, and even boost the audio of two students that talked very softly. I got home and the realization that I had an older version of Muvee Reveal hit me and I was scared I would loose all my work. I only lost the titles that seperate the offices when I opened the file. Since the separators were important and I was even more impressed with Muvee Reveal x I decided to buy the upgrade to Muvee Reveal X. I used version X to complete the Student Council video and I will definitely use it to create the next video I create.
When I upgraded I received two more styles to help create cool effects in my videos. You can buy new styles but there are also some more free styles created by others. When I get some free time I will try my hand at creating my own custom style.
The only thing I don't like about Muvee Reveal X is that I am limited to two lines of text for captions and I can not reposition the captions on the video.Other than that I am extremely happy with the features available in Muvee Reveal X. I really like the quick buttons for boosting audio, magic moments, and the captions. It is not very resource-intensive so creating the video and saving the video is fast compared to Premiere.
